As a passionate pianist, dancing tango inevitably led me to dive deep into tango music. I want my music to connect us with our feelings and with each other. I lead you through the whole spectrum of emotions with a reliable stream of tangos. I retune tangos to their original tempo and pitch. I display and announce my tanda-info on the wall. I am a regular DJ at international tango events and a resident DJ at various milongas in the Netherlands.

Life is… joy, desparation, nostalgia, love, hapiness, anger, hope, sadeness, solitude, fun… Tango music talks about all those feelings and more. Dancing tango is a way to transform those emotions into artistic expression, creating perfect harmony between the three of us, music and partners.
As a DJ, I first love to research the true energy of every song, to articulate them into a tanda that tell you a story.
When I play my selection, I like to lead you on a travel through your personal life experience, tanda after tanda, like day after day, emotion after emotion… Let’s dance!
I am DJ-ing since 2015, as DJ Bomboncito. 20 years ago I met tango and directly fell in love with it! During my trip in Buenos Aires, I concentrated on the classical milongas where I had the chance to be invited by some legends dancers like El Pibe Sarandi, Tete, Flaco Dany and more. Milonga lover, she organised several milonga workhops in Brussels with Ricardo Maceiras and Dany Garcia.
I am visiting all kind of tango events around Europe. With Jens-Ingo Brodesser, I organize since 8 years the international tango event ‘la Cita de los Amigos’ in Belgium. In love with music, we developed ‘Tango Time Travel’, providing high quality digital transfers from our extensive collection of original shellac and early vinyl records.
Beside tango life, I am TV director and mother of a fantastic girl.

Fashions come and go! At a DJ-set I try to catch the mood of the moment by observing the dancers and translate this feedback into the tanda. Diversity and changing impulses are the keywords. I like to think of colours and shapes like when you paint a picture. You start at a certain point and let the whole thing evolve. Maybe you tell a story, maybe you are abstract but the most important is that you express something through the music you play and that you make the people dance!
Jens-Ingo and Bénédicte made best quality digital transfers of collected original tango discs, available at Tango Time Travel.

I started DJ-ing in 2012 on a boat in one of the Amsterdam canals. Later in time I started also to DJ with vinyl and shellac records.
With vinyl, I am limited to what I have collected, which influences the selection for my tandas. What’s published on vinyl is often of great quality.
As a vinyl DJ I’m busy for you all night to keep you on your feet. My turntables will lead you through the night!

Melih Meriç

Melih Meriç

Turkey

Melih Meriç describes himself as “a good marathon dancer” first. He likes to dance a lot and generally does not miss any of the tandas in the marathons in case he doesn’t relax. He is a marathon organiser in Turkey and loves to travel countries and tango events.
He states that he is the Turkish dancer who visited the most international tango events in Europe in 2019 and 2021.
He started DJing in 2016. He realised that social dancers deserve the best music in the milongas. “A tango DJ should not play the songs which he or she admires, but the songs which the dancers like or admire the most.” Dancers do not like tandas full of surprises, as in restaurants people do not like to eat surprise dishes that much. “Palates and ears are conservative.” He is student of DJ GOGO (Gokhan Toygar) and he loves to make the dancers happy. He was DJing in international and local marathons and festivals in 2018, 2019 and 2021.

They call me a volcano of energy and I want to transfer this positivity, this desire to live to all the others!
I am a multifaceted artist. I started as a dancer, then choreographer, poet, painter and researcher of holistic sciences to return to dancing through my strong passion for tango and my interest in its therapeutic power.
Tango creates emotions from the first moment you play listen and dance it. That is what I would like to facilitate with my dj set and energy.

Driven by an authentic passion for tango and photography, in 2013 I started combining these two in photographing the most evocative aspects and expressions arising from the embrace in tango in the local milongas.
I made numerous photographic testimonies of tango events, festivals and encuentros of tangueros in Sicily and other parts of southern Italy.
